Sound object does not play in a slide show due to sound may not be enabled.
Cause:
System sounds may not be enabled.
Solution:
Make sure system sounds are enabled.
1) Select the Windows 'Start' menu and select 'Settings'.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'.

3) Open the 'Sounds' icon. (The Sounds Properties dialog box appears.)
4) Do one of the following:
a) Select the 'Enable System Sounds' check box.
b) Select anything EXCEPT '<none>' from the 'Sound Schemes' list box.
5) Click 'Apply'.
6) Click 'OK'.
